Jim Gray For Orlando

The City of Orlando is a great place to live, work and raise a family.  My wife Kathy and I feel truly blessed to call Orlando home for the last twenty-eight years.

We also know that civic duty and giving back to your community is one of the great traditions of American society.  That’s why after careful thought and consideration, I’ve decided to seek re-election for Orlando City Council, District One.

For the past five years, I have had the honor of representing the fastest growing part of the City of Orlando.  Today, one in every three building permits, residential and commercial, originate in District One.  When I sought office five years ago, I promised to focus on several priorities:

  • Promote economic development through public-private partnerships.
  • Provide the public safety resources necessary to keep our neighborhoods safe.
  • Insist on fiscally sound budgets by controlling spending and cutting waste.
  • Use my business background to bring a common-sense approach to City Hall.
  • Be responsive to the requests of residents.

We have welcomed Nemours Hospital, the VA Hospital, USTA, Orlando City Soccer and KPMG as large corporate employers to our community. Residential neighborhoods are being built throughout the area, resulting in new schools and increased retail and restaurant opportunities in the Lake Nona, Vista Lakes and LeeVista areas.  Simply put, our District is the envy of the entire area and market statistics bear that out.

It is my hope that you will join our effort to continue to make Orlando a great place to live, work and raise a family by joining my campaign.  Election Day is November 7th, and I would appreciate your support!

“Police Endorse Jim Gray For City Commission”

There’s a lot going on, so each day I leverage my private sector philosophies to promote economic expansion and responsible growth. It’s my experience that quality, high-paying jobs for area residents typically translate into better schools, safer neighborhoods and increased home values.  Oftentimes, potential business owners and developers ask me the key to achieving success in District 1 and each time I share a simple formula, “Be a Good Neighbor.”

Jim Gray is the embodiment of the American Dream…

He grew up in a middle class family that taught him the traditional American values of honesty, hard work, faith in God and giving back to your community.
